Plaid 1830's dress and hat.  Gentleman Jack, anyone?  The rental is for the dress and hat only.  The belt, reticule, and muff aren't included.  This is a two piece dress so it has a little wiggle room.  The bodice and skirt close with hooks and eyes.  The dimensions of the dress are B 43", W 34", Length of skirt 41", and the sleeve length is 22 1/2".  The skirt can be pinned tighter with safety pins and that will gather the waist of the bodice in for that cinched waist look.  This type of clothing looks best over a corset with petticoats or additional skirts for width.  If can also be worn without those items.

The hat is black felt that has been trimmed with green taffeta ribbon, lace, and a vintage ostrich plume.  A hatpin is used to hold the hat in place.  The hatpin is included in the rental.  If you would rather just rent the dress, let me know.  I've included the original Godey's page and image that I was recreating for the hat.
